Inverter Geek Roadmap
Hi, I’m James, the founder of Inverter Geek. When I started this project, my goal was simple: to help homeowners, engineers, and tech enthusiasts make informed decisions about inverters. Over time, we realised that providing reviews alone wasn’t enough; we needed to provide deep technical insights, real-world comparisons, and hands-on installation guidance.
This roadmap lays out our strategy for the next 12–18 months, highlighting major updates that reflect our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and technical expertise.
Major Updates
1. Inverter Reviews (Ongoing)
We are committed to unbiased, hands-on reviews of the latest inverters on the market. Each review will cover:
Every inverter we review gets physically installed, loaded, and tested before we write a single word. We test across brands, comparing how different manufacturers approach the same wattage and voltage class.
Our goal is to be the most trusted source of inverter reviews in the US, covering both DIY installers and professional engineers. Every rating we publish is traceable to a specific test.
2. Inverter Data Comparison (Coming Soon)
We will provide comprehensive inverter comparisons using an in-house-developed algorithm.
- Inverters will be compared within the same class.
- Interactive graphs will visualise differences in weight, wattage, noise, efficiency, and more.
- Each graph will include a comparison description highlighting the key takeaways, strengths, and weaknesses of each inverter.
- Users can make data-driven choices at a glance, relying on both manufacturer specs and our own testing results.
Our proprietary algorithm ensures that these comparisons are fair, consistent, and informative.
3. Inverter Specifications (Coming Soon)
We will provide in-depth specification breakdowns for every inverter, including:
- 20 specifications, covering every critical aspect of performance, safety, and compatibility.
- Manufacturer-listed specifications.
- Our own test results offer real-world performance metrics that go beyond marketing claims.
Our in-depth specification ensures users have a complete understanding of how each inverter performs under practical conditions.
4. Installation & Technical Wiring Diagrams (Coming Soon)
We will provide first-hand, expert installation guidance, including:
- Technical wiring diagrams for basic and advanced installations.
- Detailed setups for solar systems, battery banks, and accessory integration.
- Step-by-step instructions designed for both DIY enthusiasts and professional installers.
Our goal is to empower users to install safely and confidently, with diagrams and instructions coming directly from our own field experience.
Closing Thoughts
Building Inverter Geek has been a journey of discovery. Every inverter we test, every specification we analyse, and every diagram we create is aimed at one goal: helping you make smarter decisions.
We aren’t just reviewing products, we’re educating the community, building trust, and simplifying a complex industry.
Thanks for joining me on this journey. We’re just getting started.
